The latest edition of Aahar witnessed a huge footfall and elicited the participation of over 750 leading companies. The event covered significant innovations and developments across all areas of the food and hospitality sector. It provided excellent business opportunities to exhibit products, technologies, and services to national & international buyers.
The event witnessed active participation by professionals from across the hotel, restaurant and catering industries, who could be seen engaging with vendors and scouting the best products in their respective sectors. This year, Aahar was inaugurated by Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry and Railways, at the new International Exhibition Centre at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Mr. L C Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director of ITPO, acknowledged the support of the Government of India, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and other apex industrial associations. The event stakeholders also expressed their happiness over the enhanced response to Aahar 2020 from all sections of the industry.
The event showcased a wide range of food products, machinery, F&B equipment, engineering equipment, confectionery items, etc. Apart from the large variety of products and machinery on display, the fair offered an insight into operational aspects, food safety concerns, and energy-saving innovations. Major attractions of the event included exclusive seminars on research and innovation, which is acknowledged as the key to the future growth of the food processing sector.
